Thanks to my friend Dawn in Wichita, I've started to use a baby wrap. Just recently I've figured out how to put Nicholas on my back in what is called the Rucksack carry. This past spring, when he was little I would wrap him on the front to take long walks. I still use my OTSBH sling when I go to the store or church, but I've started using my wrap when I'm cooking dinner and taking walks.
I thought I would poll the other Schamber "Earth" Mamas on your favorite slings and uses.

Not a very flattering photo of Emily carrying Nicholas (age 3 mo) in the baby wrap.

Favorite newborn in/out sling (errands, running over to Grandma's house): New Native Baby Holder (not adjustable, but worked great with a bulked up winter baby)
Favorite newborn & 1st year overall sling: Moby Wrap (loooooong stretchy material that can be carried kangaroo, on back, front, side, cradle, upside-down...just kidding). Bit of a pain to put on in public, though I did in Walmart & trains, but once on, baby goes in & out with ease and EVERYTIME Domi went in, he fell asleep. Worked like a charm for hours on end while I cleaned, cooked, or shopped. Plus it spreads out the weight better than any other I've seen.
Favorite all-time: OTSBH...yep, can't beat it for adjusting through weight gains (you AND baby), and a fast & convenient in & out on the go.
Manuel's favorite to see: Moby, he even uses my OTSBY on occasion even though it's too small for his build.
